A drive through a rocky desert area is shown in the animation "Desert Drive".
The complete scene was created in less than an hour using CINEMA 4D R11.5, SurfaceSPREAD and ScoobyCamTools, and then rendered with VrayForC4D. The rendering took only 75 hours (plus 1.5 hours for precaching the global illumination data) on a QuadCore Q6600 with 2GB RAM and a DualCore Centrino with 2GB RAM (both WindowsXP, 32 Bit). |

The free plugin GearBuilder has just been released!
GearBuilder contains an expression tag which makes it very easy to create almost any gear. Supported are cogwheels, wheels connected by belts and wheels sharing an axis. A GearBuilder gear can be driven by keyframes or by a GearBuilder motor.
